OPPO A7X Will Reportedly Launch on September 20 in China With Waterdrop Notch, Helio P60

Oppo appears to be readyin

g another large-screen, mid-range smartphone with water drop notch display. The Chinese smartphone maker could release the Oppo A7X in China. According to the latest leak about the device, the smartphone will launch on September 20.

After the successful launch of the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro in India, Oppo could be launching a new mid-range smartphone called the Oppo A7X. However, the device will launch primarily or even exclusively in China. Interestingly, the virtual renders of the device appear very similar to the Oppo F9 Series devices with the horizontal placement of the rear camera and an accent around the same that also includes the LED flash. Moreover, the leak also offers some key specifications of the alleged Oppo A7X. Surprisingly, they match well with the Oppo F9.

Perhaps Oppo could be readying the F9 for the Chinese market with just a simple rebranding. Still, some reports that claim to offer information about this very device, insist the smartphone packs a larger battery.

Oppo A7X: Launch Date, Price and Availability
As per the information obtained from the latest leak, Oppo could launch the new Oppo A7X in China on September 20th. Incidentally, Oppo will reportedly launch only a single variant of the mid-range Android smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The leak even confirmed the pricing of the Oppo smartphone. Oppo will price the Oppo A7X at CNY 2,099 in China. This translates to Rs. 22,000 approximately. Interestingly, Oppo recently offered the Oppo F9 and the F9 Pro to Indian smartphone buyers at very similar prices. The Oppo F9 with 4GB/64GB costs Rs. 19,999. Meanwhile, the 6GB/64GB F9 Pro costs around Rs. 22,000

Given the pricing of the alleged A7X, it seems Oppo could launch two variants of the smartphone, with one having 4GB RAM and another 6GB RAM. However, the leak mentions only one variant with 4GB RAM. In other words, there’s still a little ambiguity about the variants. In India, the Oppo F9 was launched alongside the F9 Pro. Although both of them share the same internals, the F9 Pro does come with VOOC Flash charge, 6GB of RAM, and a 24MP front camera.

Oppo A7X: Specifications, Features
According to the leak, the Oppo A7X for China gets a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LCD display with 2340 x 1080 resolution, water drop notch, and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will have a glass back with a diamond cut pattern, as well as a standard fingerprint sensor.

MediaTek Helio P60 processor clocked at 2.0GHz and paired with the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU powers the device. The China-specific variant, supposedly, will only come with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A micro-SD card slot is available to increase the storage.

The Oppo A7X will get a dual-camera setup at the back. The primary camera will be 16MP, and the secondary would be 2MP. Both of these cameras will carry a f/1.85 aperture. As is the norm, there will be AI assistance for taking photos. On the front, you will find another 16MP sensor for selfies just like the Oppo F9 in India. Meanwhile, the F9 Pro in India has a larger 24MP front camera.

Oppo R17 First Week Sale Makes it Stand as Top Performer in 3,000-4,000 Yuan Price Segment in China

The leak mentions A7X will have a powerful 4230mAh battery. Surprisingly, there is no mention of any Fast Charging support. However, this could be a simple omission of information for the time being. The mid-range Oppo A7X will run the latest ColorOS 5.2 out of the box, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone will measure 156.7×74×7.99 mm and weigh 169 grams.

Quite a few smartphone companies have been launching rebranded devices in select regions. The Oppo A7X could be part of the trend. Whatever the case, we at MySmartPrice will certainly offer any new information about this capable mid-range Android smartphone from Oppo.

12 Secret Codes That Unlock Hidden Features on Your Phone

1
Field Mode: *3001#12345#*
Type *3001#12345#* into your phone's dialer and then press the green call button to access "Field Mode," which can give you access to info about local networks and cell towers.

You'll probably never ever have to know about your local cell tower's "Measured RSSi," but it's fun to look around for a bit.

2 General Test Mode: *#0*#
I could only get this to work on Android. But this prompts a library of different phone operations, which could be operated with a single push (e.g. Sleep, Front Cam, Vibration).

3 Display your IMEI: *#06#
Here's a code which I found out does not work with Verizon on an iPhone, but I could make it work after switching to a T-Mobile SIM. It also worked on my Android AT&T device as well. To access it, type in the above code, and then the green call button to prompt your IMEI number (or your International Mobile Station Equipment Identity number, but you already knew that).

The IMEI is unique to your device. Among other things, the number can help "blacklist" stolen devices or help with customer support.

4 Check Your Call Forwarding: *#67#
This code allows you to check which number your phone is currently forwarding calls to when you're busy or reject a call.

By default, this is probably your carrier's voicemail service, but you can change it to forward to a different number (a home number, office number, or third-party answering service for example). On an iPhone, you can change this number by going to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding. On Android (varies from system to system), tap the Phone app > hamburger icon > Settings > Call > More Settings > Call forwarding

5 Get Even More Info on Call Forwarding: *#61#
On my Galaxy phone, this code prompted a pop-up that let me know how long until a call is forwarded to the message center. On the iPhone, regardless of carrier, this code just showed me the same info as *#67# .

6 Check Your Available Minutes: *646#
Apparently this one only works on postpaid plans. I was not able to get it to work on my test iPhone (regardless of carrier; I tried three), but I did get it to work on my Galaxy phone (which happens to have an unlimited texting plan from AT&T). Instead of showing the info on a new screen, it sent my phone a text message.

7 Check Your Bill Balance: *225#
Once again, I couldn't get this one to work on the iPhone, but on Android I did get it to prompt a SMS message with my current balance due.

8 Hide Your Phone From Caller ID: #31#
I could only get this to work on Android. But entering this code prompted a pop-up stating that my Caller ID had been disabled. In order to re-instate Caller ID, enter *31# .

9 Check Your Billing Cycle: *3282#
Once again, I could only get this to work on Android. It prompted an SMS message with my billing info.

10 SMS Message Center: *5005*7672#
This code will tell you your SMS message center number. I have no idea why you'd need that info, but there ya go.

11 Activate Call Waiting: *43#
This code will activate call waiting; you can deactivate it by entering #43#.

Email
12 Quick Test Menu (Samsung Galaxy Only) *#7353#
As far as I can tell, this code only works on Samsung Galaxy models (I tested it on my Galaxy S7 Edge). This is similar to the General Test mode mentioned earlier, in that it brings up a menu with a number of one-tap test prompts.

Train Cancelled? IRCTC To Credit Entire Amount To Your Bank Account

  • When your train is cancelled from the start station to the destination, then the passenger name record (PNR) is automatically cancelled and the credit is transferred to the bank account. The refunds are made in the same bank accounts from where the booking has been made. However, the passengers must note that when they cancel the tickets on their own, then some cancellation charges apply. For instance, in case of first AC/ executive class, the cancellation charges are Rs. 240.

  • In case the passenger traveled by the second A/C or first class, the cancellation chargeslevied by the IRCTC would be Rs. 200. In case of third AC/ACC/3A economy, the cancellation charges that IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering And Tourism Corporation) levies amount to Rs.180. However, for the second sleeper class, the IRCTC levies Rs. 120 as cancellation charges. When the passenger is cancelling the second class, the cancellation charges are Rs. 60.

  • When the cancellation is done anytime between 48 hours and 12 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, the charges are 25% subject the minimum as mentioned above.

  • And when the cancellation happens between 12 hours and 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 50% subject to the minimum charge.

  • There will be no refund after the above prescribed time limit which means if the ticket is cancelled anytime within four hours of the scheduled departure, there would be no refund of the ticket amount.

  • In a similar development, NDTV had reported that IRCTC, the e-ticketing arm of Indian Railways, has introduced a new payment mechanism for booking e-tickets, including Tatkal tickets. Now, IRCTC e-wallet users can book rail e-tickets including Tatkal quota tickets through mobile app IRCTC Rail Connect. IRCTC e-wallet is a payment mechanism which enables users to deposit money in advance with IRCTC. This money can be used as a payment option.

Hidden tricks you didn't know your Android phone could do

1. Cast your Android screen

For a number of years, you've been able to broadcast your Android phone or tablet's display to the larger screen of a television using a Chromecast. In addition to beaming video from all the usual movie and TV apps, this streaming device can mirror your phone. Take advantage of a mirroring shortcut in the Quick Settings pane, which you access by dragging down from the top of the screen with two fingers. You should find a Cast option in this menu.
If it doesn't show up, there's another way to set up mirroring. First, check to make sure you've installed the Google Home app for Android. You probably already used this program to set up your Chromecast. Open the app, tap Cast screen/audio from its menu, and then choose your Chromecast. Your device's display should appear on the big screen.

2. Run apps side-by-side

SPLIT SCREEN

One of the new features added in Android 7.0 Nougat is the option to run apps side-by-side or one above the other. This view comes in handy when you want to display photos, optimize your social networking, or multitask, although it's a bit too laggy for gaming.
To set it up, tap the Overview button (the square icon below the screen) button, and choose which of your recently used apps you want to see. Then, hold and drag that app's title bar to the top or left of the display. Finally, choose another open app to appear alongside or under it.
Meanwhile, here's another related tip: Double-tap rather than single-tap the Overview button to quickly switch between the two apps you've been using most recently.

3. Make text and images more visible

DISPLAY SIZE

If you're struggling to see what's on the screen—or, alternatively, if you want to cram as much content as possible onto the display and don't mind doing a bit of squinting along the way—you can zoom in or out on text and objects. Not all the apps will respond to these adjustments, but most of them will.
To change size settings, open the Android Settings app and go to the Display heading. From the Display menu, tap the Font size link to change the default font size in Android. Select the Display size link to make on-screen objects larger or smaller.

4. Change volume settings independently

ANDROID VOLUME

Your device plays several different types of audio—including ring tones, notifications, alarms, phone calls, and media. If you've ever gone to the Settings menu, opened Sounds, and tapped Volume, you'll have seen that you can use individual sliders to adjust these audio types individually.
However, Android gives you a quick-and-easy shortcut. Tap the physical volume buttons on the side of your device to make whatever's currently playing softer or louder (if no media is playing, this action will adjust your ringtone volume). When you do, a small box will pop up on the screen, showing which volume setting is changing and how. On the side of that box, you should see a small arrow. Tap it, and the box will expand to show multiple volume sliders at once. This can save you a trip to Settings.

5. Lock phone borrowers inside one app

SCREEN PINNING
Screen pinning locks the phone user into one app.

What happens when you want to lend a friend or young family member your phone—but don't want them rooting through your private information or posting to your social media accounts? Screen pinning lets you be generous without giving up your privacy. Pinning one app to the screen means that your phone will only run that app until someone enters the lock screen code again. Essentially, the user won't be able to access any other parts of your phone without you

23 best smartphone tips and tricks to impress your friends
